She is currently studying NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy and a diploma in Indian head massage. This involves a lot of subjects that I enjoy, particularly massage. I also decided as the opportunity was there within the college to develop some holistic skills and therefore enrolled in a Part Time diploma in Indian head massage. While doing the courses above I have also been able to further my professional development by completing short courses such as nail art, St Tropez tanning, Body Sugaring, Dermalogica and fashion make- up. These short courses that are spread throughout the year come with certificates and keep my fellow students motivated and make the learning experience enjoyable." Shauna's vision for the future is to work from home or to have her own premises having a good work- life balance. She hopes to continue learning new treatments such as Reflexology and is able to offer these to her clients in the future. 17 Roxanne Graham Roxanne Graham has been a student at the college for 5 years. Business & Administration FACULTY 4 http:// www. nrc. ac. uk Last term NRC Business Students from the Newtownabbey Campus travelled to Krackow, Poland. The main focus of the trip was to give the students the opportunity to experience and appreciate a different culture. Given that we have many people from Poland living in our communities and becoming an integrated part of college and work environments it was particularly relevant. The students experienced Auschwitz which gave them an understanding of the cultural background and history of the Polish people. Some of the students had never been outside Northern Ireland so it was a great life experience. There is a hope that some students will be inspired to study or work in other countries in the future so students visited the University in Krackow to gain experience.
