The students were set the exciting task of designing the layout and interior of a room/ space in a show house for the proposed housing development at Mill Mount, Randalstown. Their designs were to be based around a range of contemporary and classic themes that would appeal to a variety of clients viewing the show house. Incredible Interiors at NRC Northern Regional College Art and Design student, Ruth Boyd was announced as the winning student in a competition to design NRC's 2010 calendar. The brief and competition were outlined and judged by chartered Graphic Design Company, Rodney Miller Associates. Students had to create artwork around the theme of " Sporting Achievement". The brief presented to students was to depict outstanding sporting achievement and explore within their artwork the words, Aspire - Aim - Achieve that are synonymous with student experience at NRC. 1,000 copies of the calendar will be produced and many of these sent to organisations linked to NRC across the world, as an alternative to a Corporate Christmas Card, demonstrating the talents of art and design students at NRC.
